On March 2nd, 2016, Buena Park School District was awarded $1.4 M by the California Energy Commission (CEC) for Proposition 39 measures. Projects funded include HVAC, lighting, and building controls upgrades. The District anticipates $116,000 per year in energy savings under these measures. On March 1, 2016, the School Board at Saugus Union School District approved a second phase of Proposition 39 services with PacificWest. Scope of services to include engineering design, code compliance, procurement assistance, and measurement & verification reporting services. Once completed, the project is anticipated to save the District $146,000 annually in energy costs.
On March 1st, 2016, Franklin-McKinley School District was awarded $2.5 M by the California Energy Commission (CEC) in Proposition 39 funding. In addition, the CEC approved submissions for two charter schools within the district, which were all approved in 6 weeks. With so few award approvals among charter schools in the state, this was a significant accomplishment. Energy efficiency improvements to include HVAC and lighting upgrades. PacificWest Energy Solutions performed energy benchmarking, energy audit, project prioritization and expenditure plan services. Once completed, the project is anticipated to save the District $153,000 annually in energy costs.
On February 10, 2016, the General Services Administration approved a building renovation and asbestos remediation contract with PacificWest. Scope of services to include asbestos abatement & remediation, renovations, and tenant improvements at Building 56 at the Denver Federal Center. The Denver Federal Center (DFC) is located adjacent to the foothills of the Colorado Rockies and is only minutes from downtown Denver. The Center houses 28 different federal agencies in 441 buildings, totaling four million square feet of rentable space across a 623-acre campus.
